    Folkestone’s traditional cinema experience. Folkestone’s independent cinema operates within Folkestone’s historic Town Hall, the site of Kent’s first film screenings in 1896.

     A multidisciplinary studio working across art, architecture, and technology, with a practice grounded in socially engaged spatial research and cultural production. The studio works closely with communities that are often peripheral to dominant narratives of urban change, foregrounding forms of knowledge embedded in everyday life, local memory, and collective experience.

    The cultural hub of Folkestone and the home of The Folkestone Triennial. Quarterhouse is a performing arts venue at Folkestone’s cultural heart. They present a regular programme of theatre, dance, music, film, comedy and family shows, as well as live screenings from the National Theatre and Royal Opera House.

    Located beneath the Lower Leas Coastal Park at the bottom of the zig zag path, Mermaid Beach is relatively sheltered and a great place for a swim. But make sure you bring your sea shoes as this is pebble beach.
